This spring, make plans to check out this Golden State hidden gem, The California Poppy Festival™ runs from April 21st through the 23rd so grab your tickets today. This year’s 30th anniversary will feature some unforgettable photo opportunities in front of fields of gorgeous flowers and celebratory signage.

It’s not just about the picturesque flowers. The California Poppy Festival™ has everything: live music, arts & crafts, live animal exhibits, BMX stunt riders, delicious food and drink vendors, carnival rides and even monster trucks. The whole family will be entertained. General Admission entry also includes seats for the weekend’s headlining musical artists, Matt Stell or Frankie J. You can even get your “indie on” at the Battle of the Bands. There’s also a Rural Olympics with events like hay loading, antique potato car racing and a toughest farmhand contest. This event has something for families with young kids, music lovers, nature enthusiasts, crafters, foodies, thrill seekers and monster truck fans. What more could you ask for?

When summer hits, head to LA Wine Fest which features wines from all over California and the world. This festival is located in downtown Long Beach right near the ocean. The Gilroy Garlic Festival provides additional summer fun. This July celebration showcases every way to consume and use garlic that you can think of. Fall brings The Goleta Lemon Festival. The Santa Barbara festival celebrates this sour fruit and its numerous varieties. Along with the food and games you would expect, there is also a classic car show. Throw on your best yellow outfit and visit this festival on September 30th and October 1st 2023.
