It was cookie distribution day Saturday, Jan. 27, for the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio.
More than 1.3 million boxes of Girls Scout Cookies were to be delivered to troops and scouts throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, during the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio annual “mega drop.”

Locations in Riverside, Lake Elsinore, Apple Valley and Palm Desert hosted the annual distribution events. Council staff and volunteers loaded orders into vehicles at each site, which, a Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio news release says, is a quick way to get the “cookies from the baker to local Girl Scouts.”
Girl Scout Cookie selling season kicks off Sunday, Jan. 28.
“During the annual cookie sale, Girl Scouts hone their skills as owners and operators of a cookie business,” according to the release. The sales method “allows each girl to define her success in her own way.”
Nearly 6,000 girls in the two-county region are served by the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio, according to the group’s website.
