Donald Cassell Obituary

Copied to Clipboard

Don was a lifetime resident of Riverside, California. He graduated from Poly High School in 1957. He served in the Air Force Reserves. Don was predeceased by his parents Ira and Edna Cassell and brother Philip. At 17 years old Don started investing in the stock market and at 27 years old, he began investing in real estate. He truly believed in investing and what it could do for people. Don spent a lot of time talking to young people about money and was willing to spend his time teaching. He was a printer by trade and worked for Riverside Printers and A to Z Printing. Retiring from printing at 45, Don continued to work for A to Z for many years on an as-needed basis. His biggest love was travel and he was able to do a lot of it. He traveled all over the world and would tell you about the time he traveled for 9 months with 3 ladies through Mexico. He traveled the U.S. and Canada in a motor home with his partner at that time for many years. They had wonderful journeys together in Europe as well. His last trip was in Africa and that had been a long time dream. Don married late in life and is survived by Michele Campbell, her two sons Patrick and Phillip Kennedy, and 4 grandchildren. Though he never had children of his own, he was a fantastic father and grandfather. A Celebration of Life for Don will be held at Arlington Mortuary, 9645 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA 92503 on April 16, 2024 from 2-4 pm.
